Is it me or did Easter creep up on us all of sudden?

I have zero plans for Easter.

What I mean by that is… zero plans.

I’m not upset about it.

Truth be told, I’m relieved I don’t have to get out of my pajamas.

But most people do go out on Easter… and, yes, I know — the kids love it.

So — if you have plans to be in New York City… and haven’t made plans for Easter brunch… you’re in luck.

1. DOWLING’S AT THE CARLYLE, 35 E 76th St: For a special occasion, what’s better than The Carlyle? The three-course prix fixe menu includes Duck Confit Salad, Faroe Island Salmon Wellington and Strawberry Sundae, New York Cheesecake or Blueberry Pie for dessert. The Easter bunny is expected to make appearances at 2pm and 4pm. $185 pp.

2. LE BILBOUQUET, 20 E 60th St: Just yesterday, I was walking past Le Bilbouquet and asked about the Easter Brunch menu. Well, this is one of the best I’ve seen in a while. Among the offerings on the three-course prix fixe menu: Green Pea Gazpacho, Classic Bilbouquet White Asparagus, Colorado Lamb, and Rhubarb Cobbler for dessert. There’s also a caviar supplement if you really want to splurge. $120 pp.

3. VERANDA, 23 Grand St: I love this Soho spot, owned by my good friend, David Rabin. I love it even more because on Easter Sunday, there’s an egg hunt ($30 per child, includes brunch). On the menu: Silver Dollar Pancakes (for kids) and Veranda Cheeseburger (for adults). Don’t forget to get a Bloody Mary or Mimosa.

4. AQUAVIT, 65 E 55th St: This two-Michelin starred Nordic restaurant is a New York classic. And the Easter brunch menu looks epic. Among the choices: Smoked Salmon or Deviled Eggs, Allspice Roasted Rack of Lamb, and the signature Princess Cake — layers of sponge cake topped with green marzipan. $135 pp.

5. BABBO, 110 Waverly Place: Nettle Pappardelle with prosciutto cotto, peas and pea tendrils and Roasted Lamb with pecorino, mint and grilled lettuce are the two Easter specials at Babbo this year. The special dishes will be offered on Easter Sunday from 12:30pm to 7:30pm. You can also order from the full menu. My advice? Get the pasta tasting menu (you’ll be full after the third dish) and be careful if you get the wine pairing.
